Two very different perspectives....

I just read two very different stories with two very different endings. I REALLY want to share them with all of you.

Story 1

Story 2

After reading them, please share your thoughts. I have thoughts I want to share, but I don't want to spoil the endings.

I *think*....

..that nudge in the last set of comments was directed towards me to say something. :o

I know I've been absent. I've been busy. (Crappy-ass excuse, I know.) Here's something I was busy with about 10 days ago:

Yep, I went and got a tattoo. I used my birthday money for it. :D I've been considering a tattoo for about, oh, almost 20 years (since I was in college - the first time). This is an angel on my shoulder. The flash reflected in the bacitracin ointment. Once it finishes healing, I'll get a better photo. I still have some dry/peely patches in a couple spots.

Other than that, it's just been status quo for me - nothing exciting, nothing dramatic, nothing earth shattering. I'm a boring person.

At a very odd time of year, I've been having some up and down mood swings. Usually in summer, I do pretty good. Nothing in particular has triggered this. I'm just having some *blah* days. (But some good ones scattered in there too!) I think I just need a vacation from work. I have one coming up in about 5 weeks. Now that I've just counted that down, it's nice knowing it'll be coming soon. :)

I think I also just need to stop reading/watching the news because it just ticks me off.

If I had more money, I'd be spending more time outside doing some landscaping/gardening work. I have so many ideas for my yard. But right at this time, any extra money I have is going to pay for a speeding ticket I got. (Yes, the wife of a cop can still get a ticket.) I was in another county where nobody would know hubby. And yes, I was speeding. So Tuesday, I can go to court and get it reduced a little for showing up like a "responsible" citizen.

Little League baseball season is *almost * over for Frodo. Currently, his team is in first place. I love his coaches this year. Last year's coach was pretty boring - hardly ever held practice to teach the boys anything. This year's coaches have practice occasionally, and it's fun watching the kids improve over the season. And they are nice guys too. There's one kiddo on the team that is a phenomenal player. When he goes pro, I'll let you all know.

I need to mow today, but I also feel like taking a nap. Always responsible me will go mow though. Sigh. I've gotta stop being so responsible. ;)
