Yee Haw! He's not fired!

Hubby had an "administrative hearing" today. Basically, "administrative hearing" is the secret code for "I'm gonna bend you over and not even give you a kiss first".

They picked his driving incidents apart teensy bit by teensy bit. He was to respond with why he made the choices he did. The hearing took a little over an hour. But it's done. He enjoyed the fact that his sergeant (who is known around the department as "The Bobblehead") was more nervous than he was. That gave him a tad bit of satisfaction. Just 'cause you've got more stripes doesn't mean the brass intimidates you less! Heh heh.

He will find out within a month what his "punishment" will be. Most likely one of the following: either a nasty-gram in his personnel file or a two-day vacation without pay. We can handle either of those. If they choose the suspension, I just hope they're nice enough to sandwich it around his regular days off.

Way to go New Jersey!!!!

Cursing Mama had a nice post recently about voting. It's an important civic duty! How can representatives represent YOU if YOU don't vote?

Mid-term elections are on November 7th. Put it on your calendar now. Make sure you schedule time to vote. I don't want to hear any lame excuses about why you wouldn't or couldn't!

We got two inches of snow here last weekend. That is just rude of Mother Nature to give us that kind of thing at this time of year! I hope she got it out of her system until December.

I'm done babbling for now. Just thought I'd tell you that.

Not being fired is usually good. Although with SOME jobs ....

I think we may try to early vote. Our reps have this strange habit of totally ignoring what those of us who voted for them explicitly said we want and expect. It makes voting seem a little less important when they do that. Its like putting money into a vending machine and not getting anything out.
